Have you given any thought to the kind of relationships you want with your customers? It is better to foster those relationships as a result of intentional thought than it is to just let them happen and see where you end up. The nature of the relationships you have with your customers will partly depend on what you create, how you coach, or the type of consulting you do. It will also depend on whether you provide a commodity or something highly tailored. People don't care where they buy a Snickers bar from.
